Ghazal 24

Funny or sad how I envy myself
I have seen the beloved but no one can bear it

If love burns more than the heart avoid love
even wine melts the bottle I hide in

How can she hope to forbid us from our ways
she is shamed by us and shamed by madness

Iím complaining at every pause I am hopeless
if I stop complaining the complaints overtake me

My soul is on fire who can stay near me
my shadow pours from me like smoke
