Green on Blue (Earth-Green and White)

Even on your leaving you leave me
open to arms not yours, open to every note
breaking the silence beneath my skin,
the unspeakable words with unspeakable letters
vibrant through falling snow, out of season
in the season of beginnings. Like the most beautiful
conception of death we become more of one
beyond the hinge of our bodies after leaving
that which we can never leave to be together.
